USA Passport Apostille

Do you need to apostille your USA Passport?

If you are located in the State of California and need to apostille a color copy of your US Passport, you can meet with a local notary who will complete a document called a “California Copy Certification by Document Custodian”.  This document is basically a form that will be stapled to the color copy of your passport.  If your notary does not have this form, we can email it to you.

Most countries will only request that you notarize and apostille only one page of your passport.  This is the page with your picture, information, description, and your signature at the top.  We recommend that you copy and print this page in color.  Most copy places will assist you with the coping and notarization.

Once your passport has been notarized, the next step is to mail in your notarized documents to our office for processing.  In the State of California, we have a San Francisco apostille office and a Los Angeles apostille office.  We recommend that you mail in your documents to the closest office near you.  Be sure to include our order form and credit card authorization form.

If you don’t have time to meet with a local notary or if you are in another State, you can mail in your original passport to our Washington DC apostille office.  Our office in Washington DC can apostille a color copy of your passport through the Secretary of DC.  Once we apostille your passport, we will then overnight your documents back to the return address listed on the order form.

Our processing time is the same day for our Los Angeles office, the next business day through our San Francisco office, and 1-2 business days through our Washington DC office.  In addition to our fast apostille service, we also provide UPS overnight return shipping at no additional cost.

Apostilles can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the Apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your paperwork could be rejected costing you time and money. Don’t let this happen to you!

US Passport Apostille

Do you need an Apostille on your US Passport?  We have authenticated hundreds of US Passports over the years including passports issued by other countries (Foreign Governments).

If you are unable to follow the steps outlined below, you can mail-in your original passport to our office.  Our California commissioned notary will copy certify your Passport and obtain an Apostille.  If you are unable or unwilling to mail your original Passport to our office, please follow the steps outlined below.

Step #1: You will need to make a color copy of your passport and meet with a local notary.  If you are in another country (Outside USA), you can schedule to meet with the notary at the local US Embassy.

Step #2: The notary will copy certify the color copy of your passport. It’s extremely important that the notary follows the notarial laws in their State in order to avoid any delays.  If you are in California, the notary will attach a California Copy Certification by Document Custodian to the copy of the passport.

Step #3: Mail your notarized copy certified document to our office for processing.  Depending on your State, the processing time can as little as one business day.  Some States may take a little longer (Up to 10 business days).  In the State of California and the Secretary of the District of Columbia, we can Apostille your Passport the same-day and overnight it back to you for next business morning delivery.

We have authenticated hundreds of US Passports over the years including passports issued by other countries (Foreign Governments).  Be sure to visit our Testimonials page and Contact Us with any question you have.
