Since October 15, 1981, the United States has been part of the 1961 Hague Convention abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents.  We can only help you obtain an Apostille for documents notarized or originating from the state of California.

Documents which require notarization prior to an Apostille are: Copy of Driver License, Copy of Passport, Affidavit, Power of Attorney, School Transcripts, and School Diploma, Certificate of Free Sale, Certificate of Good Standing, Corporate Documents, etc..

Please call us to discuss the type of documents you have.  We may need to email you a document called a “California Copy Certification by Document Custodian” so the local notary can notarize the copy of the original.  Most notaries do not have this document on file.

It’s extremely important you work with a knowledgeable notary.  Simple notarial errors can cause the rejection of your documents costing you time and money.  If the notary has any questions, they can contact the National Notary Association.  Before mailing in your documents to our office, it’s important that you contact us. You maybe required to scan and email us a copy of your documents for verification as some documents may not qualify for an Apostille or it’s possible the documents have not been notarized correctly.
