Apostille a Birth Certificate

We provide fast same-day California Apostille Services for your California birth certificate.  We can also apostille birth certificates issued from all 50 U.S. States including birth certificates issued from the District of Colombia (Washington, D.C.)  A birth certificate issued in California must be certified by the County Clerk.  There are 58 County Clerks in California.  If you mail-in a certificate signed by the Health Services Department, your document will require further authentication.  Also, birth certificates issued directly from the State automatically qualify for the apostille.

If you are a U.S. citizen born abroad, you will need to contact the U.S. State Department for assistants.  If you were born in another country other than the United States, you will need to contact someone in the other country for assistants.  We can only help you with documents originating from the United States.  For example, if you were born in Israel, you will need to contact someone in Israel for assistants.

If you’re planning to get married, obtain dual-citizenship, move, work, or conduct business in a country who is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, you maybe asked to provide a Birth Certificate with an Apostille.  The Apostille helps authenticate the document for acceptance in the other country.

Birth Certificates issued by a State must be authenticated from the same State.  For example, if you were born in the State of California, your California Birth Certificate can only receive an apostille from the California Secretary of State.  There is no exception to this rule.

If the country requesting your Birth Certificate is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, then your documents may require further authentication through the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and legalization through the Embassy / Consulate office.  Our Staff in D.C. can handle your Department of State and legalization requests quickly.

Apostilles can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the Apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your paperwork could be rejected costing you time and money. Don’t let this happen to you!
