California Apostille for Mexico

Mexico has been a member of the Hague Apostille Convention since August 14, 1995.

We provide more California Apostille service for Mexico than all the other countries combined.  I guess you can say Mexico is a popular country here in California :-).

Typical documents we obtain an Apostille for are: Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Divorce Decree signed by the Superior Court,  Copy of Driver License, Copy of Passport, Affidavit, Power of Attorney, School Transcripts, and School Diploma.

The most popular documents are a Power of Attorney to sell a property in Mexico, School Diplomas, Transcripts, and a Birth Certificate.

It’s important to note that the Power of Attorney to sell a property in Mexico is usually created by the real estate agent or an attorney in Mexico in order to avoid any delays.  This document will need to be notarized by a notary here in California.  A School Diploma and Transcripts will also need to be notarized.  Please call us so we can help you obtain an Apostille for your these documents and to avoid any delays.

A Birth Certificate will need to be a certified copy signed either by the County Clerk’s Office or the State Registrar.  We do not accept Birth Certificates signed by a Health Officer from the County Clerk’s Office.

During the past year, we’ve noticed an increase in California Corporations conducting business in Mexico.  Typical corporate documents which require an Apostille for Mexico are: Articles of Incorporation, Certificate of Good Standing, and Certificate of Free Sale.  Some of these corporate documents will not require notarization.  Please call or send us a message so we can assist you in obtaining a California Apostille.

Apostilles can be complicated.
