We provide California Apostille service to documents originating from or issued in California.  These documents include birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, divorce certificates, criminal background checks, affidavits, power of attorneys, and more.  For a full list of documents we can obtain an Apostille for, visit this link: http://www.apostille.la/documents-for-apostille-service/

If your documents are from another state or have been notarized by a notary outside of California, you will need to contact the Secretary of State in that other state for more information.

Documents issued or notarized in California are eligible for authentication by the Secretary of State in California.  Our office is located in Los Angeles which allows us to provide California Apostille service through the Los Angeles Secretary of State office located in Downtown Los Angeles.

If your documents require a notary, you must meet with a local notary to notarize your documents prior to sending us your documents.  If you reside in Los Angeles, we provide complimentary notary service which includes pick-up and delivery.  If you aren’t sure if your documents qualify for an Apostille, you can scan themand send it to us for review.

Obtaining an Apostille may seem simple, but if done by an amateur or someone who doesn’t know the requirements of the receiving country, then those documents may fall into question and thus rejected by the destination country.   If you’re having your documents notarized, it’s extremely important to have a local notary notarize the actual document and not attach an acknowledgment or jurat to the signed page.

As a professional California Apostille service, it takes years of experience and knowledge to obtain an Apostille which will work for the country you intend on sending your documents too.   If the destination country is not a member of the Apostille convention, then a Certification will be issued.

California Apostilles can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the California Apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your paperwork could be rejected costing you time and money. Don’t let this mistake happen to you.  We see it countless times at the Secretary of State in Los Angeles.
