California Criminal Background Check Apostille

The first step in obtaining a California criminal background check with the California Deparment of Justice is to first visit the State of California Department of Justice web site.  The California Department of Justice provides an automated service for criminal history background checks that may be required as a condition of employment, licensing, certification, foreign adoptions or VISA/Immigration clearances.

Individuals have the right to request a copy of their own personal criminal history record from the California Department of Justice to review for accuracy and completeness.

You may also request a background check from the FBI.  In most cases, this may not be required as the criminal history background check from the California Department of Justice is sufficient.

Once you have obtained the results, you will then need to mail it to our location in Los Angeles.  Please included our California Apostille order form and complete the sections required.  We ask that you send us your documents by FedEx, UPS, or USPS Priority mail.  If we receive your documents by 10:30am,  we can obtain your Apostille and overnight your documents back to your location.  Your documents will arrive by the following business morning.
